Approximately 6 trees (blue spruce, mountain ash, Montana maple) severely scorched after a neighbouring garage fire. Customer requests professional advice on which trees can be saved, which require pruning, and guidance. Trees are about 30+ years old and located in Rosedale.
Hi Tammy, Thanks for reaching out. We can provide a professional on-site assessment and written arborist recommendations for your scorched trees. Based on the information you provided, our estimate for an on-site assessment and written arborist report is $600 to $1,500. The lower end reflects straightforward access, mostly superficial scorching, and a quick inspection with verbal recommendations and a short written summary. The higher end reflects heavy crown or structural damage, the need for detailed photos and a full written report, work near structures or property lines, or if a longer follow-up is required. We can schedule a quick site visit and you do not need to be home; we can arrange everything by text per your preference. Please confirm any immediate safety concerns, whether all trees are on your property, and send any photos if you have them. Also let us know the best times to text to arrange the visit. Thanks, and feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions, Max, Calgary Tree Care & Arborist Service (587) 329-7161
Thanks very much for your prompt reply. I would very much like to book a site visit so an arborist can assess the situation. Please confirm that this a free estimate visit. Please note that this includes not only my 6 trees, on my property, but also my neighbor's trees as well. So the arborist would evaluate both my trees and neighbor's. It's a safe environment. My schedule (and my neighbor's) is very flexible so please provide a time that works best for your team. Thanks very much. Look forward to hearing from you regarding firming up an inspection visit. Hi Tammy, Thanks for the update, and for clarifying that the assessment would include both your trees and your neighbor's as well. I've passed your site visit request along to the owner, and they will contact you directly to coordinate a time that works. Just to clarify, this type of fire-damage arborist assessment is not typically treated as a free estimate visit in the usual sense, since it involves evaluating tree condition and providing professional recommendations. The owner will confirm the scope and pricing with you directly before the visit. It is helpful to know that the area is safe and that schedules are flexible. Thank you as well for including your phone number. Best, Max Calgary Tree Care & Arborist Service (587) 329-7161
