Thanks for the reply Max. Attached are some photos that should hopefully help: The first two are trees in the front yard that need trimming, both around 15 ft high I think. The third is a bigger tree in the back that needs to be cut back a fair bit. The fourth are columnar aspens that probably need some minor trimming. The fifth is a much smaller tree in the back yard. The six are neighbor trees that at extending over the fence. Not sure what to do about those. Suggestions? Access to all is pretty good. Hope that helps. Thanks. Doug Haughey 403-862-1572
Hi Doug, Thanks, the photos and notes are very helpful. Based on what you sent, a reasonable estimate for the pruning work would be about $1,080 to $1,680, including cleanup and disposal. That looks to cover the two smaller front yard trees, the columnar aspens, the smaller backyard tree, and the larger tree in the back that needs a heavier cutback. The main variable is the larger backyard tree. If it turns out to be taller, more complex, or closer to structures than it appears in the photos, the price could land toward the upper end of the range. For the neighbour trees extending over the fence, in many cases overhanging branches can be pruned back to the property line, provided it can be done properly without harming the tree. We can certainly take a look at that as part of the job and let you know the best approach. If you'd like to move ahead, just reply and we can get things going. If you would prefer a firm quote before proceeding, I can pass that along and the owner can follow up directly if a quick site visit is needed. Hi Doug, Thanks, I appreciate that. I've passed this along to the owner and he will contact you directly regarding timing and scheduling. The estimated range for the pruning work remains $1,080 to $1,680 including cleanup and disposal, and we can also review the neighbour branches over the fence when the work is done. If anything changes on your end before then, feel free to reply here. Best, Max Calgary Tree Care & Arborist Service (587) 329-7161
