Hi Niall, For removal of a mature Manitoba maple with a crack plus stump grinding, our preliminary range is $1,320 to $1,848. The lower end assumes a medium-height tree (around 30–40 ft), easy front-yard access and no nearby structures; the higher end reflects larger height, limited or backyard access, close proximity to buildings or powerlines, or extra rigging and safety work because of the crack. Because the tree shows a structural crack we plan for slower, safer removal which can increase time and cost compared to a routine removal. If we encounter very restricted access or need a bucket truck or additional rigging, the final price will be toward or above the top of this range and we will confirm before proceeding. A quick site visit will let us confirm height, access and exact scope and give you a firm written quote. We can schedule the visit at your convenience and you do not need to be home for the inspection. If you can, please reply with a couple of photos of the tree (including the cracked area) and a note about whether it is in the front or back yard and any access limitations, plus your preferred days for a visit.
