Customer unsure if mountain ash should be pruned or removed. Also requests cleanup/pruning of a large evergreen and one stump to be ground flush (not excavated). Customer can send photos and prefers text contact.
Hi Jennifer, Thanks for reaching out. I can give a preliminary ballpark while we review photos and a few quick details. Based on typical scenarios the work will likely range from about $1,200 at the low end up to around $3,600 at the high end. The lower end assumes medium trees, easy access, simple pruning and a single flush stump grind. The higher end reflects larger trees, possible removal, tight access, work near structures or powerlines, and use of a bucket truck or complex rigging. Could you please send photos (full-tree shots plus a close photo of the trunk at chest height and a clear photo of the stump top), an estimate of tree heights or trunk diameters, whether the trees/stump are in the backyard, and any nearby structures or wires? We can also do a quick site visit to confirm and provide a firm written quote; you do not need to be home and we offer flexible scheduling. Thanks, and feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions, Max, Calgary Tree Care & Arborist Service (587) 329-7161
Hi Jennifer, Thanks for sending those over, that is very helpful, and I appreciate you getting them across before the turkey coma sets in. Based on what you’ve shared so far, with no wires, easy street access, and good clearance from the house, a rough working range for the job would likely be about $1,200 to $2,400, including cleanup and disposal. That range would cover the mountain ash assessment, pruning or removal as needed, cleanup/pruning of the evergreen, and one stump ground flush. The lower end would be more in line with pruning the ash rather than removing it, and the higher end would be if removal is the better option or if the evergreen needs more substantial work than it appears at first glance. Once we review the photos more closely after the long weekend, we can narrow that down further and let you know whether a site visit is needed or if we can provide a firmer quote from the photos. Thanks again, we will follow up with more detail after the long weekend. Best, Max Calgary Tree Care & Arborist Service (587) 329-7161
Sure, I’ve attached some photos. I am happy to wait for more detail until after the long weekend. Sending before I get full of turkey and forget There are no wires, easy access from street, and they are all a reasonable distance away from the house.
